The Maroon 5 frontman and 'The Voice' judge leads awards with six nominations
Justin Bieber has five nods and 'The Avengers' picks up eight

Maroon 5's Adam Levine picked up six People's Choice Awards nominations.

The nominees for the 2013 People's Choice Awards are out and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine leads the pack with 6 nominations!

Levine, who has kept busy with his hugely popular band and his work as a judge on "The Voice," nabbed six nominations in the following categories: Favorite Band, Favorite Song, Favorite Album, Favorite Music Video and, for his work on "The Voice," Favorite Celebrity Judge and Favorite Competition TV Show.

Hot behind his heels is none other than Justin Bieber, who has five nominations of his own in the music categories, including Favorite Male Artist. That should help the newly single pop sensation stay occupied after splitting from beau Selena Gomez just days ago.

As for films, "The Avengers" nabbed eight nominations -- the most of any film this year -- including Favorite Movie.

The People's Choice Awards will air January 9 on CBS.
