Manhattan nanny charged with first-degree murder

A Manhattan nanny, Yoselyn Ortega, was charged this week with two counts of first-degree murder for allegedly stabbing two children in her care on October 25. Ortega was also indicted on two counts of second-degree murder.

The indictment says Ortega intended to kill 6-year-old Lucia Krim and her 2-year-old brother Leo Krim.

Police say that the mother of the children, Marina Krim, found the 50-year-old nanny in the bathroom of the family's Upper West Side luxury apartment stabbing herself, while the children bled to death in the bathtub.

Ortega remains hospitalized from her self-inflicted wounds, according to Fox News Latino.
