Outspoken conservative celebrities are a rare breed in Hollywood -- and now, those who have bared their political opinions are being slammed on Twitter.
Celebrities including Stacey Dash, Melissa Joan Hart, Donald Trump and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, were harangued after tweeting Romney/Ryan support messages or disappointment with the election outcome.
Melissa Joan Hart, the actress best-known for her '90s sitcom, "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," was inundated with a barrage of mean-spirited messages and insults after it was announced that President Obama had been re-elected for a second term.
After being called "fat," "unbankable," and a "bad mom," Hart tweeted, "Wow it's incredible how tasteless and disgusting some of you can be when u r hiding behind your keyboard. Don't like me, don't follow me!!!"
"Clueless" star Stacey Dash, who voiced her support for the Republican candidate, also faced a barrage of criticism, with tweets calling her "dumb" and "washed up." She tweeted this message in response, "Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan. You fought the Good Fight and I am proud! @MittRomney @RepPaulRyan."
Donald Trump, who has been an outspoken critic of the president for years, was more incendiary in his tweets, posting:, "This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy!" and "We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided!"
Elizabeth Hasselbeck, who also received flak for tweeting, "Good morning Greece. Oh... I mean America," summed up the election outcome, tweeting, "#momentofpeace: You cannot love the game only when your player wins. We remain to be the greatest nation and @BarackObama is OUR President."
