A Making it in America success story! We first met photographer and author Aimee Cebulski on Oct. 5. After a previously unsuccessful crowdfunding campaign, Cebulski shared with us with some dos & don'ts for potential entrepreneurs considering using the increasingly popular method of fundraising.
After some revamping, Cebulski's project, The Finding 40 Project, officially reached its funding goal on the crowdfunding site Kickstarter. Filled with enthusiasm, Aimee told us, “I'm excited and so appreciative to all my backers for giving me the resources I need!"
Since Aimee reached her goal, each of her generous investors will now receive a coffee-table style book about what it means to be a woman over the age of 40, with personal accounts from women all around the world. After these Kickstarter.com donors receive their book, Aimee will then market it to the general public. “That's the thing about Kickstarter -- it gives you the kick-start to get your project going," Aimee said. "Now it's up to me to finish the production and market it to a wider audience.”
