Smugglers trying to drive over the border between Mexico and the the United States were thwarted when their Jeep got stuck atop the fence that separates the two countries, authorities say.
The 14-foot fence near Yuma, New Mexico, proved to be insurmountable despite the makeshift ramp the suspects had set up.
U.S Border Patrol agents apparently witnessed the whole thing go down, including the Jeeps' drivers fleeing into Mexico, the patrol said in a statement.
It is not clear exactly what cargo the vehicle was carrying, but the Jeep and ramp were confiscated.
