Several of the nation's biggest banks are waiving fees for people affected by Superstorm Sandy.
JPMorgan Chase is giving customers a break on overdraft fees and late fees on credit cards and loans through Wednesday. Citibank closed its branches in parts of New York, but waived out-of-network ATM fees for its customers in those areas, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Wells Fargo and Barclays are cancelling late fees through Thursday. Wells Fargo also is waiving out-of-network ATM fees in several states.
Bank of America says it will waive fees that customers incur because of Sandy. But, customers have to contact the bank and ask for the fees to be removed.
Capital One says it will consider requests to have late fees waived on a case-by-case basis, Time reported.
