It looks like Lindsay Lohan’s publicist has had enough of the starlet’s drama because he just quit.
This, just days after the troubled star’s father tried to stage an intervention with Lilo. Lohan’s publicist, Steven Honig, released this statement to HLN, “I have resigned as Lindsay's publicist. Not discussing any further.”
Honig has been representing Lohan for about a year and a half, and it’s been a pretty busy time for him. Recently, Lindsay got into a blow-out fight with her mom, which ended with a 911 call and police being called to her family’s Long Island home. She also got into a physical altercation with a congressional aide at a New York City Hotel and
Lohan was arrested after allegedly hitting a man while driving a friend’s car to a nightclub in New York City, but those charges were later dropped.
Honig’s resignation comes on the heels of a botched intervention attempt by the actress’ father, Michael. Michael called into HLN’s Jane Velez Mitchell this week to talk about the intervention that never happened. He told Jane he had the full support of Lindsay’s people but when he arrived at his daughter’s Hollywood home, police were immediately called.
Now with Honig’s departure, Lindsay is without a publicist to help her get her career back on track. She’s been working on her new film, “The Canyons” and her Lifetime movie "Liz & Dick," which premieres in November.
