“Good Morning America” viewers got a special treat on Thursday when Robin Roberts called into the morning show for the first time since her bone marrow transplant.
Roberts was delighted to be speaking with her GMA family and guest co-host Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey asked Roberts how she has been feeling since her transplant.
“Thirty-five days ago I had my bone marrow transplant. And it is a journey,” said Roberts. “I am so incredibly blessed to be doing as well as I am. Some days I do feel like I’m 35 days old and I can’t get my head off the pillow. But those days are becoming fewer and fewer.” Robin added that she can’t wait to get back to work!
Oprah told Roberts, “I know you’re not here, but I felt your presence when I walked into the studio. You are here in spirit.”
