Dreaming of a vacation on the high seas? This could be your week to grab a deal.
The cruise industry, still struggling in the wake of last year's Costa Concordia disaster, has declared this week National Cruise Vacation Week. And while this is a canned sales "event", there are some serious savings to be had.
Princess is offering $1,000 off a 14-night Hawaiian cruise and $400 savings on seven-night Caribbean cruises. Cunard has cut prices on numerous European journeys. Holland America and Royal Caribbean are offering on-board credits of up to $200. Other cruise lines also have deals and specials going, including free cabin upgrades.
So, finding a good deal is easy this week. But how do you book it? Do you need a travel agent? HLN Money Expert Clark Howard says it depends on how experienced a traveler you are. Get his advice for booking a cruise here.
