Homemaking maven Martha Stewart is admitting to painting the bottom of her Christian Louboutin shoes black.

Yes, while many women would pay big bucks to sport the red bottoms on their shoes, Stewart is not a fan of the flashy color.

Don’t worry, before Stewart committed what many are considering to be a fashion tragedy, she asked for permission from Mr. Louboutin himself.

Stewart tells In Style, “Even though they’re his trademark ... he doesn’t mind. He said it’s okay if I do that -- I asked him!”
