Halle Berry thinks the third time may be the charm to find true love.
The actress is opening up about why she's getting married again, how she's aging gracefully, and why she's more comfortable in her skin now than ever before.
Berry reveals in an interview with InStyle magazine that despite declaring that she would "never, never" get hitched again after the end of her second marriage, she's willing to give it a shot with fiance Olivier Martinez. “It’s another one of those never-say-never things. I’m a hopeless romantic, and I won’t stop till I get it right!”
But the sparks didn't immediately fly between the two, according to the actress. "When I first met Olivier, there wasn't the initial 'I'm in love!'" she recalls. "It was something that grew more gradually -- and it feels more real because of that."
Berry admits that she likes Martinez because he offers her something no other man has before -- laughter: "He's silly, a clown, and very much the life of the party," she says of the French actor. "Which is good for someone like me. Danny Downer … been there, done that. Now I like Louie Lightfoot!"
The 46-year-old mother also reveals what she's learned about aging gracefully, advising women to not "stress about your age or fight it. Appreciate the young women who look like you once did, but don’t strive to be like them. You’re moving into a new phase of your life -- embrace it. That’s what I hope to do.”
The actress, who has been a fashion favorite on the red carpet for years, also reveals that she hasn't always been so fashionable. "My style has evolved in a nice way, but everyone has bad moments," she explains.
"Someone just showed me a photo from the '80s in which I was wearing a polka dot and flower-print suit with puffy sleeves. At the time, I thought I was stylin!' But no."
The actress also reveals her favorite fashion moment: "I would never get rid of the dress I wore on the night I won my Oscar. When I die, someone can have it, but not a minute before!"
