Wait!!
We're all still complaining about the iPhone 5 and sharing hilarious Apple Maps fail photos over here!
"SNL" just even had an awesome skit about the iPhone, many stores are still sold out of it and I just bought a new bag of quarters to insert into the Hype Machine!
"We don't care," say your tech overlords in Cupertino. "This is the new thing. And we're ready for you to have it now."
"Please start going bananas over it instead."
OK.
Hey everyone! Apple has made it official: they will be hosting a "special event" on October 23 in San Jose. And by "special event," you can be sure they mean "the iPad Mini."
This: Meet the Mini, Apple's new tiny tablet
The much-discussed tablet is ready to go public, with Apple sending out typically cryptic invites Tuesday with the above Apple logo and the sentence, "We've got a little more to show you." They have still never confirmed there even is such a thing as an iPad Mini.
The tablet/smartphone tweener is rumored to be 7.85-inches with a design very similar to its competitors, the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire. Those tablets begin at around $200 and most reports pin the iPad Mini's price tag at less than $300.
No word yet on when the Mini would go on sale, though the iPhone 5 was available for purchase nine days after its debut.
Oh yeah. The iPhone 5. Remember that ol' thing?
