Taylor Swift: I 'fall hard' in love

  • The 22-year-old superstar opens up to Rolling Stone about her messy love life and being the 'heartbreak kid'
  • 'I have rules for a lot of areas of my life -- love is not going to be one of them'
Taylor Swifts admits when it comes to love she has no rules.

Taylor Swift struck a provocative pose on the cover of the newest issue of Rolling Stone and revealed all about her love life, those pesky wedding crasher rumors and why she's dating a Kennedy.

The 22-year-old pop star, who has had a string of failed romances, is currently dating 18-year-old Conor Kennedy and laughs off reports that she "kidnapped" the teenager by flying him out to see her when she missed him.

"How did I kidnap him?" Taylor incredulously asks the interviewer. "You can't kidnap a grown man! These are serious accusations, now! It's an interesting way to spin something into a story. See, this is why I don't read stuff."

While Swift has strict rules regarding what she reads about herself, there is one area where nothing is off-limits: love.

"I have rules for a lot of areas of my life. Love is not going to be one of them," she admits. She also explains that despite her many public romances, she's not scared to dive headfirst into a relationship. "The way I look at love is you have to follow it, and fall hard, if you fall hard," the singer-songwriter maintains.

"You have to forget about what everyone else thinks. It has to be an us-against-the-world mentality. You have to make it work by prioritizing it, and by falling in love really fast, without thinking too hard. If I think too hard about a relationship I'll talk myself out of it."

Swift also addresses the rumors that she crashed a Kennedy family wedding in August, saying the rumors were simply untrue. "I have no idea what happened there," the "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" singer explains.

"I think the story was based on the biggest misunderstanding. I would never knowingly show up somewhere that I thought I wasn't invited to. And I would never want to upstage anybody."
