And so begins the most scrutinized maternity leave in business history.
The husband of Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer announced this morning on Twitter that his wife gave birth Sunday night.

Which means that Yahoo isn't the only mess Mayer is now tasked with cleaning up.
But she may not have her hands full -- literally, figuratively -- with motherhood for long. Mayer made headlines (and working moms gasp) when she was hired in July for telling Fortune that "My maternity leave will be a few weeks long and I'll work throughout it."
So far no truth to any rumor that Meyer texted "BRB!" to her board of directors while being rolled into the delivery room. However, a Yahoo spokesperson made clear the new mom was sticking to her plans, saying she will be "working remotely and is planning to return to the office as soon as possible, likely in one to two weeks."

Mayer was keeping busy right through the final days of her pregnancy, holding a company-wide meeting just last Tuesday to outline Yahoo's turnaround strategy.
But her next order of business won't require an audience quite so large: finding a name for her baby boy. She and husband Zach Bogue are reportedly still undecided and have even taken to crowdsourcing his name by emailing friends for their best suggestions.
Just got a large-group email from @marissamayer. She's crowdsourcing suggestions for Baby Boy Bogue's name! How digital can you get?
