Unfriended: Facebook bans 'Selena Gomez'

Things can get complicated when you have the same name as a famous celebrity. A New Mexico teen says it led to the loss of her Facebook account.

Selena Gomez said she tried to sign in to her Facebook account last week and received the following message: "Disabled - Inauthentic Account."  Gomez said she believes Facebook thought she was impersonating the teen star, violating the social networking site's terms of agreement.

Gomez said she even used her middle name, Miranda, on her profile to clear up any confusion.

"I did not have one single famous friend. I did not refer to myself as (the famous Selena), and I did not have any pictures of her on my page!" Gomez told TMZ.

Gomez said she called Facebook in hopes of reactivating her account, but to no avail. Facebook has not yet commented on the reports.

If there's any consolation, Mark Zuckerberg had that same problem.

No, not that Mark Zuckerberg. This one!
