Sure, Chick-fil-A posts and photos are currently the most divisive thing burning up Facebook feeds across the country, but that's just right now.
In a matter of days, that debate will fade away. Obnoxious friends "hidden" from view will be allowed to resurface ... and what will we be left with?
People posting photos of their kids. Lots of them. Or people complaining about photos of kids. Lots of them too*. As always. The long-standing Facebook snipe-fest will re-emerge, displacing this temporary chicken distraction.
*Haterz
When it does, those who have had enough of the kid pics will have a new weapon at their disposal.
Unbaby.me promises to scrub your Facebook feed clean of any baby photos. And as a bonus, the pictures will be replaced with images of cats. Because this is the Internet, where everything always has to involve cats.
There's this too: Face it, Facebook: Sometimes you suck
The program is an extension for the Chrome browser. Once installed, it will scour your Facebook feed for any number of preloaded keywords/phrases (i.e., pajamas, infant, is finally napping, first ballgame, etc.) in photo captions and allow all you fun-hating, cuteness-averse, anti-all-things-adorable Facebook users to enjoy a baby-free social media experience in exchange for one cluttered with kittens.
Of course, if kittens aren't your thing*, you can adjust the photo feed to blast out any kind of pictures you want. Replace your nephew's first haircut with a picture of Dan Marino rocking a pair of Zubaz if that's what you desire.
*So now you don't like babies or kittens? Just return to your bunker already.
Since you can edit the keywords that trigger a photo replacement, you can scrub your Facebook feed of really any photos you want. Tired of Olympics updates? Add "London," "Lochte" or "Costas." Sick of looking at cars lining up for chicken sandwiches? Add "Chick-fil-A."
Unbaby is totally free and available only for Chrome.
