The widow of a man shot to death at a Georgia daycare center in November 2010 has been arrested and charged in his murder.
Andrea Sneiderman was taken into custody Thursday morning after a grand jury indicted her on charges of malice murder, attempted murder, racketeering, insurance fraud, two counts of perjury, and two counts of making false statements to law enforcement.
“On November 18, Hemy Neuman shot and murdered Rusty Sneiderman, a 36-year-old businessman and father of two precious young children in the parking lot of his sons' daycare, said Dekalb County, Georgia, District Attorney Robert James.
Neuman, who was Andrea Sneiderman's boss, admitted to shooting Rusty Sneiderman. He was found guilty but mentally ill and sentenced to life in prison without parole for the murder, plus an additional five years on a charge of possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony.
The murder trial included racy allegations of an affair between Neuman and Andrea Sneiderman, along with Neuman claiming that angels and demons told him to shoot Andrea's husband.
Sneiderman’s attorneys have denied that she has played a role in her husband’s death. In May, her attorneys filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Neuman saying he acted alone.
