You love your pooch, we know you do. But guess what, other people do, too. And that’s why you should rent him out.
…Seriously. We recently heard of a couple who had a friend in need of a date. We all know that puppies are huge chick-magnets (ever seen Big Daddy??), so they rented their pup for $5 per hour for the friend to cruise for ladies.
We’re not sure if he got a date out of it or not, but the couple walked away with some extra dough for coffee -- and Fido got some extra exercise.
Renting your stuff can be a great way to make some extra dough. Check out websites like loanables.com and snapgoods.com, where you can rent — or loan — almost anything, from rollerskates to a cordless drill to your own backyard.
Get creative: something that you see as ordinary, like your dog, could be a major draw for other folks who don’t have one, and many would be willing to pay to take yours off your hands…even just for an afternoon in the park.
