“Save more, spend less and don’t get ripped off” is more than just a slogan for Clark Howard; it’s a way of life. Clark never misses a chance to help consumers get ahead and he’s spent the past 25 years dedicated to doing just that.
Clark’s role on HLN’s new show, Evening Express, gives him a greatly expanded presence on the network and a new opportunity to provide actionable information and tips, as well as his personal perspective on the news of the day. And the thing about Clark is, he’ll give you all this in a way you can understand. What do the big economic and financial issues mean for you? That’s what you can expect to learn from Clark every day.
Clark’s experience as an entrepreneur and savvy consumer has molded him into a motivated expert on how to get the most out of every dollar. Clark worked to put himself through college before becoming a successful business owner. He launched a travel agency in 1981 that grew into a chain with locations across Atlanta. Clark’s early success allowed him to retire at the age of 31. But, luckily for us, he wasn’t satisfied.
While enjoying retirement, he was asked to be a guest on a radio show about travel, and he got such a great response he was given his own program, The Clark Howard Show, which is now syndicated nationally. He brought his popular brand of consumer advice to HLN in 2009. Through Clark’s daily Consumer Tips and Deal of the Day, consumers will get advice on ways to improve their everyday and long-term financial lives.
Clark may be known as a “consumer warrior” but he’s also a husband, father of three, world traveler, health advocate and very involved in the community. Clark is also a captain in the Georgia State Defense Force. He joined after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 to do his part for our military. So no matter what we’re talking about, Clark usually has something to say.
It can be hard to keep up with all of the consumer and economic issues of the day, but now that Clark can be a part of your dinner-time conversation, it may get just a little bit easier. Clark and the Evening Express team will be around every weeknight from 5-7 p.m. ET on HLN to welcome you home and get you caught up on the day. So go ahead and let them in, you won’t want to miss it.
