Each week, our friends at BuzzFeed provide The Best of the Interwebs , a conveniently packaged round-up of the week's most awesome, ridiculous or awesomely ridiculous stuff.
This week, the guys of Pinterest totally play to every bad stereotype, some playful kids perform a great version of 'Somebody That I Used to Know' and we get a rare look inside Gloria Estefan's backyard -- or, at least, how we've always imagined it would look. Three words, folks: Bear. Cub. Conga!
Pinterest, the popular virtual pinboard, has really taken off in the past year and it’s been reported that 97% of their Facebook fans are female. This post about how those 3% of male pinners use the site certainly says a lot about how they don’t really know how to use it, but could say even more about gender roles in a female-centric online community. Hey guys, you’re doing it wrong!
These kids are, without question, the best thing that happened to the Internet this week. You may remember the Bohemian Rhapsody family of singers but this time around, some great editing, multiple shots and an appreciation for Aussie artist Gotye put it over the top. They are so deep!
With Amendment 1 passing in North Carolina this week and the President’s subsequent statement on same-sex marriage, tensions have been high around the issue. After the amendment passed Tuesday, the website Think Progress tweeted an image of the North Carolina constitution circa 1875 in which the state banned interracial marriage. The image was widely retweeted and went totally viral.
On a lighter note, OMG! Look at these awesome bear cubs starting a conga line! A CONGA LINE! This is what we imagine Gloria Estefan's backyard zoo would look like.
