Christina Reynolds testified Wednesday that she saw a fight between Elizabeth and John Edwards after the National Enquirer reported that the candidate was having an affair with Rielle Hunter.
The former research director for Edwards’ 2008 campaign said Wednesday that she witnessed Elizabeth Edwards, who was battling breast cancer at the time, tear at her clothing, exposing her chest and telling her husband, “You don’t see me anymore."

Elizabeth died of the cancer in December 2010. Edwards is on trial for allegedly using close to $1 million in campaign funds to hide the pregnant Hunter from the public during his 2008 presidential run.
As Reynolds was recounting the incident that she says happened in an airport hangar at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, John Edwards looked back at his daughter and said, "I don't know what's coming ... do you want to leave?" Cate Edwards stood and left the courtroom. Some people in the room reported seeing her wiping tears in her eyes as she left. She returned to her seat behind her father after a court recess.
On Thursday, prosecutors are expected to call Edward’s driver Matt Nelson to the stand. In Session and HLN are following this case closely, and will provide up-to-date information as it becomes available.
