Death of Jennifer Hudson’s nephew detailed in court

The trial of the man accused of killing three members of Jennifer Hudson's family is underway
Prosecutors detailed the death of Hudson's nephew, Julian King, in court Monday

Jennifer Hudson and her sister Julia chose to leave the courtroom Monday while photos of the body 7-year-old Julian King were shown to the jury. The boy was Jennifer's nephew and Julia's son. The photos show his body wrapped in a shower curtain on the floor of an abandoned SUV.

King died from two gunshot wounds to the head. Prosecutors presented the photos to show the disturbing result of William Balfour’s alleged actions that left three members of Hudson’s family dead in October 2007.

Balfour is charged with three counts of first-degree murder for killing King, along with Jennifer and Julia Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson. Balfour is the estranged husband of Julia Hudson.

Also on Monday, a judge ordered the release of 911 calls from October 24, 2007, the day Hudson’s mother and brother were found shot to death in the family’s home. Julian King was found dead a few days later.
