Fallon, Obama 'Slow Jam' the news

In a convergence of politics, R&B and late-night TV gold, Jimmy Fallon and President Barack Obama decided to “Slow Jam the News” on Tuesday night.

Obama has proven deft at drawing laughs from his extracurricular activities -- remember Al Green? --  and it was no different on “Light Night With Jimmy Fallon."

Instead of singing about his new student loan plan, Obama laid out its benefits as a lush melody played in the background. Fallon, his voice deepened into an Isaac Hayes-like baritone, provided witty commentary as MC Black Thought of house band The Roots jumped in with soulful vocals, to the delight of the crowd.
