A new coffee shop in the Midwest is serving it hot and steamy with baristas in bikini tops, according to reports.
“Hot Cups,” the brainchild of Stephanie Goettsch and Rhonda Carpenter, is giving Davenport, Iowa, coffee lovers a Hooters-like shot in arm, according to HNN affiliate WHO-TV in Des Moines.
The idea for the coffee shop was brewed from a desire to break away from the pack, Carpenter told WHO.
“Everybody’s got the same ideas, here and there whether it be bars, restaurants or coffee shops ... and I wanted to put a full twist on it,” Carpenter said.
Consider it fully twisted. Customers hoping for an eyeful will have to settle for a cup full of latte or cappuccino on the go, as the establishment is drive-thru only.
“We are making it very tasteful, nothing degrading toward our girls, toward us at all,” Carpenter told the TV station.
And just like their Venti-loving brethren from Seattle, the owners of Hot Cups have unique sizes for their goods.
“The sizes are A, B and C cup, and that’s 12, 16 and 20 oz,” Goettsch said.
