Drivers in Pasadena, Texas, got quite a surprise Monday when they were able to fill up their tanks for just $1 per gallon!
No, it wasn’t a slick guerilla marketing campaign or a do-gooder trying to give everyone a little bit of a break. It was an honest mistake at a Conoco station, which had an issue with its pumps.
A driver told HLN affiliate KTRK that the station even ran out of gas at one point, since word was reportedly spreading on Facebook.
With the national average for regular gas being $3.92 a gallon, according to AAA, it must have been hard to resist the deal. Can you even remember the last time gas was actually $1 a gallon?
Okay, so now we want to hear what YOU would do if you were in this situation: Would you have taken advantage of the error? Or would you have let a guilty conscience get the best of you?
