Boy band mania is heating up again. 98 Degrees, featuring brothers Nick & Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre, is rumored to be reuniting after a 10-year hiatus for a 15-city summer tour.
The report of a comeback first came from RumorFix after the pop group’s official website was updated for the first time in years. Nick Lachey tweeted about the change, saying, “Is it me, or does 98degrees.com look a little different [than] it did yesterday? Just saying…”
Each band member has been busy in the band’s decade-long absence. Nick Lachey had “Newylweds” fame with ex-Jessica Simpson, released two solo albums, and is now expecting a baby with wife Vanessa Minnillo. His younger brother Drew dominated the dance floor, taking home the Mirror Ball Trophy on the second season of “Dancing With the Stars.” Timmons also released a solo project and most recently showed his smooth moves in as a male dancer at Chippendales in Las Vegas, while Jeffre tried to run for mayor of his hometown Cincinnati and was arrested for participating in an Occupy Cincinnati protest.
While there’s no official word yet on the tour, we're wondering: Does this news have you hot to trot, or does it leave you feeling a little cold?
