Shoe lovers rejoice. Now you can wear your Jimmy Choos and eat them too.
Kevin Wray, owner of Peterbooke Chocolatier near Orlando, Florida, makes beautiful pairs of chocolate Jami Shoos. Named after his wife, Jami, "it’s kind of a play on Jimmy Choo,” Wray told HLN affiliate Central Florida News 13.
That’s right. Wray makes chocolate stilettos. His “expert shoe designer” Caleb Pfeufer tells the affiliate each pair doesn’t take long to create. Between the making of the mold, hardening it in the freezer and pressing on the design, he spends about an hour and a half on each pair.
And the design is completely up to the customer. Want hot pink heels? Leopard print? Go for it. The trick is to make them out of white chocolate, which Wray says can be “painted” any color -- with colored chocolate, of course.
Actually, you can make the whole shoe yourself, if you’d like. His store offers chocolate-shoemaking classes perfect for a girls’ night out.
Whether you make them or order them, there’s an added bonus to getting the Jami Shoos. According the company’s website, 15% of the sale proceeds from the pink ribbon limited edition shoes will be donated to support breast cancer awareness.
