Hey celebs, Justin Bieber wants to punk you!

Hey celebs, Justin Bieber wants to punk you!

Like a zombie that refuses to die, MTV’s celebrity-infused prank show “Punk’d” is returning from the dead for a ninth season. Unlike the original incarnation of the Ashton Kutcher-hosted candid-camera show, a different celebrity will act as the chief jester each week, according MTV.

The first episode features America’s teen dream Justin Bieber playing a practical joke on Taylor Swift. And yes, you can expect to see the same “in-awe” face the country crooner displays at every awards ceremony. Miley Cyrus, Kellan Lutz, Bam Margera and “Punk’d” alumnus Dax Shepard also are scheduled to host episodes.

But are you really excited to see a revamp of a show that’s been off the air since 2007? Did you even notice it was gone? This venture seems like the latest entry in the Hollywood recycling program

Don’t get us wrong. We heart a good reboot and love the newly 18-year-old Biebs. But can anything really top Justin Timberlake crying like an infant when authorities repossessed his property, including his dog? So what if we now know Timberlake wasn’t 100% sober when he was pranked. It’s the show’s greatest moment and it came in the first episode.

“Punk’d” premieres March 29 at 10:30 p.m. on MTV. Will you be watching? Who would you like to see get "Punk'd?"
