The Thin Mint candy bar is actually happening

It's like a beautiful, delicious mirage. When images of a Thin Mint candy bar started popping up around the Internet, confusion mixed with frustration mixed with ardent, inexplicable desire. Where did this come from? What does it all mean?

And more importantly, where can I buy one RIGHT NOW?

No, the image was not created by some evil Photoshop troll who has been stalking our food dreams. HLN contacted Girl Scouts of America (after we cleaned the drool off our keyboards) and they confirmed: The Girl Scout Cookie candy bar is happening, and it's happening soon.

"Early news has leaked about new Nestle Crunch Girl Scout candy bars!" a spokesperson wrote to HLN. "Look forward to some very exciting news in June!" It's probably no coincidence this magic is happening the same year the Girl Scouts are celebrating their 100th Anniversary Year.

The picture shows a Thin Mint candy bar that is described as "dark chocolate cookie wafers and mint chocolate creme, topped with airy crispies."

Now if you will excuse us, we have to go, um, drool some more.
