After six years of legal battles, jail time, and a few trips to rehab, Lindsay Lohan says she’s ready to get her life back on track. Lindsay 2.0 says she's putting her party days behind her and is ready to start acting again. First stop: “Saturday Night Live.”
The 25-year-old told “Today”'s Matt Lauer that she knows it’s time to show people she is serious about her career.
"People can say things all they want, but I still need to go through the process of proving myself, with 'SNL,' being on time, keeping my ... stuff together," she said.
Lohan has given “SNL” a lot of material over the years with her escapades, but now she’s ready to get in on the joke and poke fun at herself. This will be her fourth time hosting and she tells Lauer anything goes. She even got her legal team involved to make sure she’s not overstepping any boundaries.
"I've asked if certain things would be inappropriate or off-limits," Lindsay explained. “Some of the things were expectable so we’ll see if we can get together and write them the right way.”
