Who cares about baby rumors when you have an adorable puppy at your feet?
During a visit to a local art charity, Kate Middleton spilled the beans about the name of her new pup when one of the art students presented her with a stuffed dog, and she suggested they name it Lupo, after her own dog.
According to a Royal source, the couple is quite taken with the name, which is a play on the Italian and Latin words for wolf.
Lupo's name was under lock and key ever since word got out the couple had adopted the puppy, which was selected from a litter bred by Kate's mother. Though a spokesman for the palace had said at the time that the dog was a "private pet," it seems like the royal couple is ready to introduce their newest family member to the world.
Of course, the little four-month old cocker spaniel looked less "wolf" and more "aww!" when he was photographed romping with his owners on a beach in Wales, but "Lupo" has a certain regal ring to it.
We assume the queen approves, but she is known for preferring Corgis to other breeds. In fact, we bet you can't guess the name of her first Corgi, presented to her by her father in 1933...
It was "Dookie."
