Nick Cannon is the king of multi-tasking. He has a morning radio show, a television gig on “America’s Got Talent” -- he produces his own TV shows and he is married to the wonderful Mariah Carey. But on Friday, Cannon admitted that “even Superman has to sleep.” Cannon is quitting his popular weekday morning radio show on 92.3 NOW.
Cannon took to the airwaves on Friday and joked, “This job is killing me.” He was hospitalized this past weekend for two blood clots in his lungs, which led to the right side of this heart becoming enlarged. This was not the first time Cannon has dealt with serious health problems. In January, Mariah was the one to reveal on Twitter that Nick was hospitalized for kidney failure.
Now Cannon is getting strict orders to rest. “Under doctor’s orders, I have been asked to put my health first and cut back on some of my professional commitments in order to allow my body to get the rest that it needs to keep up with the demands of my multi-tasking schedule,” Cannon said in a statement released to HLN.
Fans will still be able to see Cannon on “America’s Got Talent,” and he will continue to host his weekend radio show “Cannon’s Countdown.”
