A Lin-derella story has taken New York Knicks fans by storm.
Jeremy Lin, the 23-year-old Harvard graduate from Palo Alto, California, has managed to score 109 points in just his first four games with the Knicks. That’s the most in NBA history.
But it’s not just his prolific scoring that’s been so impressive; it’s who Lin is playing against. He scored 38 points against the Kobe Bryant-led Los Angeles Lakers. The Knicks are now on a four-game winning streak and the “Lin-sanity” seems to be spreading.
“Look at the Knicks, have you followed them for the last ten years?” one basketball fan tells CNN Correspondent Richard Roth. “And then this guy shows up and he knows how to play the game. You gotta be excited.”
Lin’s story is made only sweeter by the fact that he was passed up by two other NBA teams -- the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets.
But the Ivy League grad who still lives on his brother’s couch found his home in the Big Apple and he didn’t hesitate to take a big bite. The question is now: How long can Lin keep this up?
“I don’t really care how long this lasts, just as long as we win,” says Lin.
