Whitney Houston once said of her one and only child, "She encourages me and inspires me. When I look at her eyes and I see myself, I go, 'Okay. I can do this. I can do this.'"
Bobbi Kristina Brown is also the only child born to Houston and R&B star (and tabloid magnet) Bobby Brown. And while she carries her father's name, last year she showed she inherited both of her parents' singing ability.
Last September, Bobbi Kristina posted a video on Twitter of her singing Adele's "Someone Like You" which has so far been viewed more than 100,000 times on YouTube.
The 18-year-old daughter of music royalty (and cousin of Dionne Warwick) was first widely introduced to the public during the mid-2000s reality show "Being Bobby Brown" where she frequently appeared alongside her parents and often had a front row seat to their marital fireworks.
More recently, she made headlines for some photos which appeared to show her snorting cocaine. However, Bobbi Kristina posted a lengthy note on her Twitter account claiming she was essentially set-up by someone with whom she once had a relationship.
In that explanation she also included this insight into her relationship with her mother, no stranger no substance abuse battles:
"I love my family so much. My mom just comforted me to the max, and I'm so thankful for her. Thank you so much lord for blessing me with an Phenomenal family and incredibly phenomenal mother."
Mother and daughter even performed together on national TV in 2009, when the two sang "My Love is Your Love" in Central Park on ABC's "Good Morning America."
One of Bobbi Kristina's most recent Twitter updates was this photo she posted in the day after Christmas of her and Whitney together in a car.
