An Alabama man’s to-go order takes the concept of "heavenly food" quite literally. The customer asked Chris’ Hot Dogs in Montgomery, Alabama, to serve up two wieners for his deceased uncle, according to WSFA.
The nephew wanted to give his relative a special send off -- with one the man’s favorite foods: Hot dogs, which were placed in the coffin.
Owner Theo Katechis says he has received requests for his hot dogs from as far away as Germany, but not as far as from the grave. Katechis said it’s the most unique request in the popular eatery’s 95 years of business
Not only did the unidentified uncle get his wieners, but the restaurant also added an incentive: "We put this card in there [the casket] for two free ones. He may want them later on," Katechis told WSFA.
This may not be the most unusual burial request on record. One man was buried with his car and guns and a legendary actor took his iPhone to the other side.
These special requests got us thinking: What item would you want to take with you to the grave?
