New Yorkers had a case of déjà “blue” as the Giants made their way through the Canyon of Heroes during their celebratory ticker tape parade.
It was a scene similar to 2008, when the Giants also defeated the New England Patriots to bring home the Super Bowl win.
Nearly one million fans lined the streets of Lower Manhattan to catch a glimpse of the G-Men and honor their Super Bowl XLVI victory against the Pats. More than 41 tons of shredded paper rained on the crowd from 20 downtown office buildings, officials said.

“We are here today because this team of Giants believed in each other and because you believed in them,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg told the fans. Immediately following the parade, team members were given the keys to the city by the mayor.
Big Blue began to celebrate their win on the plane ride home from Indianapolis. A YouTube video captured the team members, led by running back Andre Brown, singing “I got a ring!”
The tune was so catchy that the G-Men couldn’t help but burst into song again at the victory parade. But even though defensive captain Justin Tuck led his teammates in “We Got A Ring”, he didn’t hesitate to put the new members of the championship team in their place.
“Hey, guess what,” says Tuck. “I got two.”
