Turns out, we Americans love our phones so much we can’t put them on hold, even when nature is calling on the other line.
According to marketing agency 11mark, 75% of people admit to taking their cell phones to the bathroom. And it gets worse: 30% of men and 20% of women say they won’t even mount the throne without one! Do they need it for instructions or something?
The survey also reveals what kind of business we do while doing our business. iPhone users are most likely to use apps or social networking tools. A disproportionate amount -- about 87% -- of Android users 'fessed up to the habit as well.
But Blackberry users may be the worst offenders, with almost half admitting they take calls, and 75% admitting they actually make calls while in the bathroom! For shame, all you Blackberry potty-phoners! We don’t need to talk to you that badly.
So if, by chance, you're on the can at this very moment, you're not alone. And may we remind you: Your phone probably has poop on it.
