Who is Kate Upton?

AskMen.com released their annual list of the Top 99 Women. This year, Sofia Vergara -- the Colombia-born “Modern Family” actress and star of the latest Pepsi commercials -- takes the coveted title of the Most Desired Woman of 2012. The two runners up? Kate Upton and Rooney Mara.

You might recognize Mara from the recently released “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” but who the heck is Kate Upton?

If you’re a guy, you’re probably rolling your eyes right now, thinking, “Duh, she’s the chick from last year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue!” 

But for those of you who are not SI subscribers, Upton is an American model best known for gracing magazine covers wearing nothing but a itsy bitsy bikini (or sometimes less). Besides her modeling, ahem, talents, here are some other things that might interest you about Kate:

• Her big break came in 2010, when she became the face of a Guess campaign.
• She was named Rookie of the Year in the 2011 SI Swimsuit Issue.
• She will turn 20 this June (so no, gentlemen, you can’t buy her a drink).
