The Muppets are firing back at a Fox News anchor after he accused their movie of using “class warfare” to brainwash kids.
Kermit may be green but he says they’re not trying to push any environmentalist agenda.
"I can tell you that's categorically not true,” Kermit said during a press conference in England late last week. “And besides, if we had a problem with oil companies, why would we have spent the entire film driving around in a gas-guzzling Rolls Royce?"
Miss Piggy took a direct shot at Fox, questioning the news organization’s credibility.
"It's almost as laughable as accusing Fox News as, you know, being news,” she said.
On "O'Reilly Factor" Monday, host Bill O'Reilly jokingly shot back, "we still like the Muppets ... But they better watch it."
If you haven’t seen the film, here’s the premise: The Muppets must reunite and raise $10 million to save Muppet Theater from being sold to oil magnate Tex Richman, who plans to destroy the theater and drill for the oil underneath.
So do you think Fox’s Eric Bolling has a point? Or do you not see the big stink he's making over a kids’ movie? Let us know!
