Family plays cutest Depeche Mode cover EVER

NEED TO KNOW
  • Dad, kids cover Depeche Mode's 'Everything Counts'
  • YouTuber says 'the song rocks, the kids are cute, dad is hot'

What do you get when you cross a pair of cute kids, a "hot" dad that can play instruments simultaneously and a obsession with Depeche Mode?

Take it away Colombian artist Dicken Schrader and his kids Milah and Korben!

Schrader and his two kids perform Depeche Mode's 1983 hit "Everything Counts." For the music nerds out there, it hit 16 on Billboard's Dance music chart in 1989. If you want more Depeche Mode love check out the two other songs the trio covered: "Strangelove" and "Shake the Disease."

As one YouTube commenter says, the "Everything Counts" video "is honestly one of the most impressive things I've seen on YouTube." We might have to agree. Another sums it up: "Everything just works, the song rocks, the kids are cute, and the dad is hot."

Several commentators on Jezebel point out there are times when the video and music don't quite line up (fake!). But another commentator comes to Schrader's defense saying "he is a video editor not musician."

The Bogota artist does more than just Depeche Mode; he made several mashup promos for VH1. There are also plenty of other videos that he's uploaded to YouTube. Here's his Facebook fan page if you want to get more information and toss them a "like."

While the music and the editing may be neat, Wired's blogger Geek Dad found something else to "geek" out about in the video. He raves about the cool toy collection on the shelf behind the kids.

Is he, as one YouTuber called, "Dad of the year?" With the music, the videos, and the toys, we think Schrader could be in the running.
