So, your relationship didn’t work out, and you’re just not quite sure why. Thinking you might want to get back in touch with him for "closure?"
Before you send that email, check out WotWentWrong.com.
The new website and smartphone app makes emailing your ex a little easier by offering letter templates that make you seem “cool,” not desperate.
It’s kind of like Madlibs for breakups. As the Daily Mail describes it, you pick one of 11 different templates, ranging from “flattering” to “not that into me,” to help you find the right words for your ex. You can add personal details to make your email seem like it's truly from the heart.
Once the email is sent to your ex, he gets a set of reply templates to choose from. Your ex is also given the option to rate you on everything from your looks to your bedroom skills. The site’s creators say his feedback is meant to give you “insights and behaviors to ensure your relationship goals.”
Sounds like a good way to figure out what you really want out of a relationship without shelling out the big bucks for therapy, right? Maybe.
But maybe not: The site creators also suggest you use the app if you never heard back from him after the very first date. Talk about desperate!
This makes us wonder: Maybe feeling like “He’s just not that into you” is easier to swallow than this feedback/"closure," after all?
