"Fast Five" probably isn't on any Oscar voter's short list and it wasn't nominated for any SAG Awards, but that didn't stop the flick from driving into the top spot of most shared movies on BitTorrent, according to TorrentFreak.

TorrentFreak follows all news BitTorrent related and compiled a list of the most illegally downloaded films. BitTorrent is technology that lets users share all kinds of content and often runs afoul of copyright law.

The fifth movie in "The Fast and the Furious" franchise racked up more than 9 million pirated shares. Sexiest Man Alive Bradley Cooper's "The Hangover II" comes in second with the superhero-adaptation film "Thor" hammering its way into third place.

TorrentFreak notes that the number of legally questionable film downloads in 2011 pales in comparison to last year. In 2010 “Avatar” was the most pirated movie with more than 16 million downloads. The site says the drop might be due to an increase in legal alternatives.
