When the Denver Broncos lost to the Buffalo Bills on Christmas Eve, there were probably quite a few smirking fans putting down the power of The Tebow.
But comedian Bill Maher isn’t just any smirking fan. He lobbed out a bombshell of a tweet that read “Wow, Jesus just [expletived] #TimTebow bad! And on Xmas Eve! Somewhere in hell Satan is tebowing, saying to Hitler ‘Hey, Buffalo’s killing them’." (Warning: Yes, the word he used was much less polite than “expletive.”)
If Tim Tebow saw the tweet, he didn’t seem to care. His post-game post was suitably Tebow-ish: “Tough game today, but what’s important is being able to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas everyone GB2.”
Though Tebow may be turning the other cheek, other tweeters and typers are certainly not. Angry viewers have called for a boycott of Maher. Fox News’ Eric Bolling has called Maher “disgusting vile trash.”
What do you think: Has Maher taken the ubiquitous Tebow jokes too far?
