A 21-year-old father who allegedly posted a photo on Facebook of his toddler bound and gagged only meant the picture as a joke, his lawyer said Tuesday, according to CNN affiliate WGN in Chicago.
Nobody was laughing Wednesday when Andre Curry was barred by a judge from having any contact with the Internet, his 22-month-old daughter, or any other kids, WGN reported.

Attorney Anand Sundaran said his client was just having fun when he allegedly uploaded the image of the little girl bound in painter’s tape. “This is wut happens wen my baby hits me back," he wrote on the social networking site, adding a smiley face emoticon to the post.
“Unfortunately due to the Internet, this case has been blown out of proportion,” Sundaran said, according to the station.
Curry, who has no criminal record, is charged with aggravated domestic battery. His bond was set at $100,000. A request by his attorney to have him released to electronic monitoring was denied by the judge.
The girl has been placed with her mother, and the Facebook post has been removed.
