Rest assured, Jon Bon Jovi is not dead.
Yesterday a rumor materialized, as they often do, in part from a website called the dailynewbloginternational, which proclaimed the rocker dead following a cardiac arrest.
Since everything on the Internet is true, the rumor caught fire, and an alive-and-well Bon Jovi took to Facebook and Twitter to stamp out the flames.
"Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey," Bon Jovi quipped on his Twittter page, which also posted the note, "Rest assured that Jon is fine! This photo was just taken."
The aforementioned photo was posted to Facebook as well, and shows very healthy-looking Bon Jovi, standing in front of a Christmas tree, holding a dated sign with the same slogan. If one good thing could come out of this, let it be that he writes a chart-topping hit comparing heaven and New Jersey.
Bon Jovi is not the first celebrity to be erroneously offed by a silly internet rumor. Of the more amusing instances, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, The Rock, and Jeff Goldblum have all, at some point, fallen to their death from a cliff in New Zealand.
