Chaz Bono calls off engagement

Do you believe in life after love? Hopefully Chaz Bono does, because he's just announced his split from fiancée Jennifer Elia.

According to TMZ, Bono's rep says Bono and Elia are "no longer a couple," and "no further amplification will be forthcoming."

This has been a banner year for Bono, with a much-hyped appearance on "Dancing with the Stars." His fiancée could often be seen cheering in the audience, alongside Bono's mom Cher.

This was no quick romance, either: The couple had been dating since 1999.
