The Duggar family is planning a memorial service for baby Jubilee Shalom, the child they lost last week due to miscarriage.
Michelle Duggar, star of TLC reality show "19 Kids and Counting" has been recovering since she miscarried what would have been her 20th child. The family announced last Thursdaythat they learned the child hadn't survived after what was supposed to be a routine ultrasound appointment.
People reports that Michelle's doctors sent her home to wait for the miscarriage to happen naturally, but soon after was taken to the hospital after feeling light-headed. A family spokesperson says she was kept for observation but is recovering well and expected to return home soon.
"We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, emails and outpouring of love," Jim Bob wrote in a letter to People. "As our whole family is grieving, we also know that God promises to work all things for good in our lives. Our prayer is that Jubilee's passing will help us all realize that this life is short, and our relationship with Jesus is the most important thing. He gives us a peace in our hearts as He guides us through whatever we might face."
People reports that the family held a private memorial service for Jubilee in their home over the weekend. A funeral service Wednesday will be for friends and Duggar family members.
