Could Ryan Seacrest be looking to add "Today" show host to his resume? The same man who is responsible for bringing us "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" could be eyeing the morning show gig.
According to the Wall Street Journal, NBC executives are looking into the possibility of the "American Idol" host being a possible replacement for Matt Lauer, if Lauer leaves the show. Lauer's contract is up in 2012 and there are reports he might be considering moving on from the job he's held since 1997.
Along with a bunch of other jobs, Seacrest currently hosts and produces a daily news show for NBCUniversal's E! network. His contract with NBCUniversal expires in 2012, so the talks could be all about a new contract, or perfect timing for Seacrest to jump into Lauer's vacant news chair.
Right now, reps for NBC and Seacrest are not commenting.
Do you think Ryan would be a good fit on the "Today" show?
