Replay, relive, remix Perry 'oops'

Oops! Rick Perry did it again.

On Tuesday, the Texas governor launched an ad accusing President Obama of staging a "war on religious traditions" for, among other things, keeping Christmas celebrations out of public schools. But as CNN reports, Perry kept his own message secular and avoided any mention of Christmas in his official holiday statement last year.

This is the most recent gotcha moment in a long line of political gaffs since Perry entered the race to become the GOP presidential candidate. And who could forget when he couldn't remember his plan to cut three agencies of government during a GOP candidate debate?

Well if you have forgotten, there’s an app for that! Here's a look at a few ways to have smartphone fun with politics.

  • The "Oops: What's that third agency again?" app lets you create a mash-up of the words Perry did manage to get out that night, like "Oops!" "I can't," "uhh," "And uhh" and "education." Android version is here.
  • The "Presidential Debate" app lines the phrases up as a sound board so you can create your own remix. Throw in a generic track and you could have the next YouTube sensation!
  • If you are having way too much fun with this, there is even a Rick Perry Oops Case for the iPhone3.
  • The download offering the most time-sucking fun potential may be "Thumbs Up Republicans." Watch the heads of prominent figures pop up from the ground and bop them on the head in this whack-a-mole style game. "It teaches great hand-eye coordination and quickens your reaction time. I've made it to level 13," YNN Austin reporter Alana Rocha wrote. "Like politics, it can be tricky."
