So, you may have heard that \ Herman Cain has suspended his campaign for the White House over allegations of extramarital affairs. What does that mean for you, the voter? Political wonks are still figuring that out. In the meantime, the real bummer is that there might not be many more Cain impressions on "Saturday Night Live."
If you’re missing Kenan Thompson’s portrayal already, take solace in the fact that SNL did manage to get one last Cain spoof in shortly after his big announcement. In it, Thompson’s Cain stops by "Weekend Update" to explain why he decided to drop out of the presidential race. As you might imagine, the comedic bit is chock full of embarrassing blunders, like Cain calling Libya “Labibya."
And SNL actors aren’t the only ones taking stabs at the Republican businessman. Mashable.com put together a compilation of their favorite #cainwreck tweets over the weekend, and here are some of the highlights:
@GlennF: Cain’s campaign is suspended as in the way the brick, when dropped, suspends itself in the air. #cainwreck
@JohnFugelsang: Herman Cain tells the crowd it’s time for ‘Plan B’ & half of America replies ‘That’s what she said.’ #cainwreck
@zenchico: “I believe these words came from the pokemon movie,” Cain said. Peka Peka Peka CHUUUU. #cainwreck #truestory
What did you think of Cain dropping out of the race? Will you miss him?
